O’zapft is! The gold/Oktoberfest beer ratio 2021

Unfortunately, the Oktoberfest has now been cancelled for the second time due to Corona. Nevertheless, we want to dedicate ourselves to the golden liquid and the metal again this year and observe what both could possibly tell us. After all, the gold/meadow beer is not just a funny comparison between two things that give us pleasure, but actually has a meaning. It is a relatively vivid reflection of the value of paper currency. Since 1950, the price has increased dramatically, reflecting general inflation. In terms of the mean, we are still above the average. Let us therefore drink to the fact that we will continue to get more beer for us gold in the future, and hope that there will soon be another cosy get-together at the Oktoberfest.
